ALEXANDER MOFFAT – Documentary Screenings

Doors: 6:30pm / Films start: 7pm

We end the exhibition of ‘Alexander Moffat at 80’ with a special screening of documentaries. Each film will be introduced by the artist himself. Followed by a brief Q&A.

Film 1 – A BBC Scope film from 1972 directed by W Gordon Smith featuring Alexander Moffat painting the poet Alan Jackson and talks about his work. (20 minutes)

Film 2 – A National Gallery film from 2011 where the artist talk about “Poets’ Pub” and the poets he portrayed. (10 minutes).

Film 3 – And a more recent film from 2019 where the artist paints a double portrait of his German friends, Harro and Anna Rosing. (30 minutes)
