Creative artist studios
in the heart of Dunfermline

We have 21 artist studios here at Fire Station Creative. Our studios house painters, graphic designers, jewelers, illustrators, textile designers, upholsterers, printmakers, photographers, and many other disciplines. Our tenants form the heart of this creative hub and it is our ambition to support them and add volume to their collective voice.

The studios are normally closed to the public throughout the year with visits by invitation only, so if you would like to discuss a commission or have a look at recent work, just get in touch with the artist directly.

Twice a year, the artists open their studios to the public for an ‘Open Studios’ weekend. You can come in, browse around, meet the makers, and even buy artwork if the mood takes you. You can sign up for our mailing list to make sure you find out when the Open Studios events are on.

NORDOFF ROBBINS

Nordoff Robbins studioNordoff Robbins is the UK’s largest music therapy charity. Music therapy is an HCPC regulated profession that uses music as a means of communication and self-expression to achieve positive change. Qualified music therapists use music to enrich the lives of people with life-limiting illnesses, disabilities, and feelings of isolation.

Nordoff Robbins has open-access centers in Fife, Edinburgh, Dundee, and Glasgow. The Fife base has been located here at the Fire Station Creative since March 2018. Three therapists currently work from this space, providing therapy to individuals and small groups with a variety of needs. We also collaborate with organisations throughout the region to provide services in a range of locations, including both mainstream and special schools, residential and NHS settings. We work closely with staff and professionals and provide regular training opportunities in these settings, to promote understanding, support, and collaboration and to provide the best possible service for our clients.

We are very grateful to the Carnegie Dunfermline Trust, Fife Council, and the Fire Station Creative for facilitating the funding of our center in Fife.
