Deaf Monkey
Deaf Monkey are a five-piece live rock and cover band from Fife, Scotland, bringing a high-energy mix of rock, indie, alternative and classic anthems to stages across the region and beyond.
Based around Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy, Lochore and Perth, Deaf Monkey have built a reputation as an energetic live band with a set designed to keep audiences entertained and the dance floor moving. The band emerged from the ashes of Project 6, joined by new members with backgrounds in other local bands including Strait Jakit and L.A.F.
Their repertoire covers a broad range of rock and popular music, with songs from artists including The Killers, Stereophonics, Bad Company, Primal Scream, The Cult and Kaiser Chiefs. Rather than sticking to a single era or style, Deaf Monkey’s multi-genre set brings together recognisable rock favourites and crowd-pleasing anthems, making them a versatile choice for live music venues, festivals, parties and other events.
The band have performed at Rockore Festival, where their set included a live take on the Kaiser Chiefs’ I Predict a Riot, and have subsequently headlined live shows at venues including Wee Jimmies in Cowdenbeath. Their festival appearances have continued, with Deaf Monkey performing on the main stage at Crail Fest in Fife in 2026.
Today, Deaf Monkey are established as one of Fife’s experienced live rock and cover bands, bringing a full-band sound, a wide-ranging set list and an emphasis on live performance. Whether playing a festival stage, a local music venue or a party night, their aim is straightforward: big songs, plenty of energy and a set that gets people singing and dancing.
