His dedication to highlighting almost-forgotten individuals who led influential lives echoes the work of Pieter Bruegel the Elder, a particular favourite of Moir and one of the most significant artists of the 16th-century Dutch and Flemish Renaissance.

Through his work, Moir brings renewed attention to notable figures who might otherwise be lost to history, illuminating their stories and commemorating them with the dignity they deserve.
