The Saints Are Watching (Documentary Screening)
Thursday, June 12th
Doors: 6:30pm / Starts: 7pm
This unique film tells the unlikley story of two artists, Sonya Atlantova and Oleksanr Klymenko, who paint orthodox icons on ammunition boxes salvaged from the war zone in Ukraine, transforming military rubbish “smelling of death” into life-affirming art. These stunning paintings are on display along with photographic portraits of refugees in Fire Station Creative from June 5th – 29th.
Tickets for the screening are available online or in our cafe
Entry to the exhibition, ‘Icons of War, Faces In Exile’, is free.
