Linda Pettie
Painter
The hinterlands of the natural world are my greatest inspiration as a landscape artist. Working in oils with brushes and palette knives I love to portray dramatic skies that scatter light over grassland, water, rocks or trees - always exciting yet challenging. Mixing colours and finding just the right tone; then finding just the right marks to be in sympathy with the mood of each piece is a process I enjoy very much. I would describe my paintings as contemplative and perhaps a lyrical expression of a moment spent in the solitude of nature - one that endures in my memory.
My paintings are exhibited in galleries, and at events and art fairs.
